The Hajj Organising Committee (PPIH) in the Special Sector (Seksus) Nabawi is strengthening education and services for the second wave of Indonesian Hajj pilgrims. The primary focus is on the elderly, people with disabilities, and compliance with regulations at the Nabawi Mosque.

Head of Seksus Nabawi, Muhammad Thoriq, stated that enhancing services is crucial given the current temperature in Madinah, which has reached 42 degrees Celsius.

‘We at Seksus Nabawi have prepared wheelchairs at every post. If there is a shortage, officers are tasked with borrowing them from Nusuk Care. Officers also assist by fetching drinking water, providing spare sandals, and distributing water sprays to prevent pilgrims from suffering dehydration,’ Thoriq said when met by Media Center Haji (MCH) reporters in the courtyard of the Nabawi Mosque, Madinah, on Thursday (11/6/2026).

Furthermore, Thoriq mentioned that pilgrims are also being educated on how to use the Nusuk application. Officers are also emphasising the importance of complying with the rules at the Nabawi Mosque, such as the prohibition on taking photographs or videos in certain areas.

‘The aim is for pilgrims to be able to worship solemnly without having to deal with Saudi security forces,’ he said.
