N. Korean leader meets ex-Indonesian president Megawati

North Korean leader Kim Jong-il held talks with former Indonesian
president Megawati Soekarnoputri, who was in Pyongyang for
celebrations of the 60th anniversary of the founding of the
nation's ruling communist party, official media said.

Kim "had a cordial and friendly talk" with Megawati on Friday,
the North's official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said in a
brief report. It did not say what they discussed.

Megawati left Pyongyang on Saturday, KCNA said. The visit is
her second to North Korea this year.

North Korea has received a number of foreign visitors,
including high-ranking delegations from China and Russia, for the
anniversary on Monday of its ruling Workers' Party. --AP
