N. Jakarta gets new dump trucks

JAKARTA (JP): The North Jakarta mayoralty has received new two dump trucks and one minibus from the state-owned container company PT Pelabuhan Indonesia II as part of the mayoralty's plan to clean up North Jakarta.

Suprihat, representing PT Pelabuhan Indonesia, officially handed over the vehicles to Mayor Suprawito on Wednesday, Antara reported yesterday.

The minibus is to be used for a mobile information unit.

Suprihat said that PT Pelabuhan Indonesia II, which evicted Koja Utara residents from their homes last year to expand its container port, wants to support the mayoralty's efforts to win this year's Adipura award for cleanliness, given that four other mayoralties in Jakarta have already won. (sur)
