Mystery of Who Gave Orders to Four Suspected TNI Soldiers in Acid Attack

TNI Central Military Police Chief Major General Yusri Nuryanto stated that his team is still probing who gave the orders to the four suspected perpetrators of the acid attack on KontraS activist Andrie Yunus. “Regarding whose orders, we are still investigating. This requires gathering witnesses and evidence, as well as examining the motivation. We ask for patience,” he said during a press conference at TNI Headquarters in Cilangkap, East Jakarta, on Wednesday (18/3). “On the transparency of the investigation, we will work professionally and report on the investigation stages, file compilation, handover of files, and up to the trial process. So trust us, we will act professionally,” he added. Additionally, the TNI Central Military Police is still delving into the motives of the four suspects. The four suspects who have been secured are: first, initials NDP; second, initials SL; third, initials BHW; fourth, initials ES. “These suspected suspects are now being secured at the TNI Military Police for further investigation to the investigation level. We are also still probing what the motive was from the alleged perpetrators,” said Yusri. The TNI Central Military Police succeeded in securing the four suspected perpetrators of the acid attack on Andrie Yunus, which occurred on 12 March. Yusri said that the four suspected perpetrators are currently in custody at the Jakarta Military Regional Command Police. “The suspects have been secured and examined at the TNI Central Military Police. For their detention, we will place them at the Jakarta Military Regional Command Police, where there is super maximum security detention,” said Yusri.
