Jakarta — An unidentified man riding an automatic motorcycle suddenly entered the yard of the home of Nur Fatwah, a member of Commission A of the Central Java Provincial Legislative Council (DPRD), in Dukuh Capgawen, Kedungwuni Timur, Kedungwuni District, Pekalongan Regency. The man, wearing a black jacket, then fired a shot.

Nur Fatwah’s husband, Amat Muzakhim (55), known as Boim, said the incident occurred whilst he was sitting on the terrace of his home with a colleague on Saturday (14 February) at approximately 21:10 Western Indonesian Time (WIB). Fortunately, the bullet did not hit him.

“The incident happened at around 21:10 WIB. The perpetrator arrived on a black Vario motorcycle with the number plate covered by white plastic. He made a U-turn in front of the house, then looked towards me and fired once,” said Boim when met at his residence on Monday (16 February 2026).

According to Boim, the shot was aimed at him but missed. At the time, the distance between the perpetrator and himself was estimated to be only approximately 10 metres. After firing once, the perpetrator immediately fled, speeding his motorcycle northward.

“One shot was fired, and the sound was loud. I initially wanted to give chase, but considering I was empty-handed whilst the gunman was carrying a pistol, I abandoned the idea,” he said.

Police immediately visited the location and recovered one silver-coloured metal projectile approximately one centimetre in length from the garage area of the victim’s home. Based on the crime scene investigation, the point of fire was approximately 9.5 metres from where the victim had been sitting.

Pekalongan Police Chief AKBP Rachmad C Yusuf said his team had questioned a number of witnesses and secured the projectile as evidence. Police have also collected CCTV footage from the vicinity which is believed to have captured the perpetrator’s movements.
