Mysterious Fires Occur 39 Times at Sleman Resident's Home as Mediums Flock

Strange fires have erupted dozens of times at a resident’s home in Padukuhan Mriyan X, Margomulyo, Seyegan, Sleman. The homeowner, Mutfiana, said several mediums had visited her residence. Fia, her nickname, reported being visited by mediums multiple times, including one who attempted to retrieve a ‘pusaka’ (heirloom). ‘Even the mediums came, it was like a tourist attraction, so crowded. There was even a peculiar medium from Godean trying to pull out the pusaka,’ she said during an interview at her home. Fia stated that the first fire occurred in the early hours of Saturday, 23 May, with 39 incidents recorded by Wednesday, 27 May. The fires typically consumed fabrics, furniture, and other flammable items. ‘Fires continue to break out, moving locations. The latest was last Wednesday at around 10:55pm, burning a towel,’ Fia explained. ‘Totaling 39 incidents across 34 different locations. Furniture, clothing, mats, and other flammable materials have been burnt. It’s odd that the upper parts burn while the lower parts remain untouched,’ she added. The Gegana unit of the Yogyakarta Special Region Police inspected the house on Sunday, 24 May, and identified a methane gas leak as the cause. Fia promptly repaired her septic tank, yet the fires persisted.
