Mysterious circumcision shocks villagers

TASIKMALAYA, West Java: Residents here were surprised on
Wednesday by a report that a 10-month-old toddler, Riyan
Abdullah, was allegedly circumcised by a spirit.

Locals said the strange occurrence took place at around 5 a.m.
in Cipari village in Mangkubumi subdistrict, Tasikmalaya regency,
when Riyan suddenly started crying hysterically.

"Upon hearing the cries, we immediately approached the room
where Riyan was sleeping and found that he had just been
circumcised. It seems unbelievable, but it's true," said Riyan's
mother, Ineng, 21, accompanied by her husband, Agus, 25.

Confused by the occurrence, Riyan's parents later consulted a
circumciser, who told them that their son had been circumcised.

This sparked widespread suspicion that it was a genie who
circumcised Riyan. The suspicions were supported by local psychic
