Mysterious Cause of Two Men Found Covered in Blood in Cimahi

The cause of the collapse of two men, identified by the initials DK (28) and AN (23), in a rented room in Kampung Lembur Sawah, RT 05/RW 16, Utama Village, South Cimahi District, Cimahi City, West Java, remains a mystery. The two men were found covered in blood on Thursday morning (13/8/2026).

They were evacuated by residents to hospital. Unfortunately, on Thursday afternoon, police confirmed that AN died after receiving intensive care at Hasan Sadikin Hospital (RSHS) in Bandung. Meanwhile, DK is reported to still be undergoing treatment.

Cimahi Police Chief, AKBP Moh Faruk Rozi, said his team is still awaiting digital forensic results from the Police Forensic Laboratory Centre (Puslabfor) on a number of pieces of evidence found at the crime scene.

“Currently, the digital forensic results at the Police Puslabfor have not yet been released. We are conducting digital forensics to determine who attacked first or whether there was a duel between the two,” Faruk said when confirmed on Wednesday (26/8/2026).

The evidence being tested digitally includes a cutter knife and a letter found by police at the scene.

Once the results are available, the police will be able to determine the legal certainty of the case. At present, they are also still trying to obtain a statement from the man who survived the incident.

“So the results of the digital forensics will serve as the basis for investigators to determine the legal certainty of the case. Please pray that the results will be available soon,” Faruk said.

Faruk explained that the fatal incident began when AN approached DK, who was in his younger sibling’s rented room. The two men are confirmed to have known each other.

“Regarding the assault, it occurred because there was a problem between DK and AN. They knew each other,” Faruk said.
