MyESICS Launches Digital Platform to Strengthen Environmental Management Amid El Nino Threat
Environmental management challenges in Indonesia are becoming increasingly complex. The strengthening El Nino phenomenon in 2026 is raising the risk of drought and putting pressure on water resource availability.
In the industrial sector, water management is becoming ever more important because companies need to know clearly how much water they use, where it comes from, how it is utilised, and how wastewater is managed before being released into the environment.
This situation is driving demand for environmental data management systems that not only meet regulatory compliance requirements but also help companies identify risks and improve operational efficiency.
In response to this need, PT Berkat MyESICS Indonesia has officially introduced MyESICS, a web-based technology platform designed to simplify the processes of environmental management, monitoring, analysis and reporting.
“We are introducing MyESICS because we see that environmental management in Indonesia increasingly requires a data-driven approach. Companies and agencies no longer just need to have data; they need a system that can help process that data into easily understood information that supports decision-making,” said Ari Christiany, Founder and CEO of MyESICS, at the Grand Launching of MyESICS held at Trembesi Hotel, South Tangerang, on Saturday 29 August 2026.
The platform’s features are becoming increasingly relevant amid the El Nino threat. According to BMKG, the phenomenon could cause a drier and longer dry season in several parts of Indonesia. The government is also encouraging cross-sector preparedness to maintain water availability and anticipate the impacts of drought.
“In conditions like the present, water management must be carried out in a measurable way. Companies need to understand their water balance, comprehend usage patterns, and be able to quickly identify when inefficiencies occur. This data is important not only for reporting but also for operational efficiency and sustainability,” Ari added.
The ecosystem is expected to bring together environmental stakeholders, business actors, professionals and service providers involved in environmental management and sustainability. Going forward, PT Berkat MyESICS Indonesia is committed to developing MyESICS as a digital solution that supports companies and agencies in facing increasingly complex environmental management challenges, while promoting more efficient, safe and sustainable business practices.
