On Tuesday (3 March) yesterday, Prabowo invited the President and Vice President, former ministers, to the Presidential Palace in Jakarta to discuss the escalation of the conflict between Iran and the United States and Israel.
Present were the 7th President Jokowi, the 6th President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, the 10th and 12th Vice Presidents Jusuf Kalla, the 11th Vice President Boediono, and the 13th Vice President Ma’ruf Amin.
The meeting lasted about four hours, starting at 7:30 pm WIB, with guests leaving around 11:30 pm WIB.
The gathering took place amid escalating tensions between Iran and the US-Israel in the Middle East.
The US and Israel launched a joint strike on 28 February. As a consequence of that operation, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed.
Khamenei was reported dead in the attack on Saturday. Iran confirmed it the next day.
On the first day of the US-Israel operation, Iran immediately retaliated.
Iran also retaliated with a larger-scale attack than before following Khamenei’s death. They targeted Israel and US military bases in the Middle East.
