Mutual Fund Investments Now Available on LINE Bank, Starting from Rp 100,000
JAKARTA – Ease of investing is increasingly a focus for banking industry players, in line with the growing interest among the public, particularly the younger generation, in managing finances digitally. Responding to this need, PT Bank KEB Hana Indonesia (Hana Bank) has launched a mutual fund investment feature through its LINE Bank by Hana Bank digital service (LINE Bank). Through one application, customers can now make purchases, top-ups, and sales of mutual funds in a practical manner. Hana Bank’s Chief Personal Banking Officer, Stefen Loekito, stated that the trend of increasing investment interest continues to be evident, especially among the younger generation who are increasingly familiar with digital technology. “We see that public awareness of investing is continuously increasing, particularly in the young generation segment who are increasingly adaptive to digital technology. In line with this trend, LINE Bank introduces a mutual fund investment feature to support customers in managing, developing, and diversifying assets,” Stefen said in an official statement on Thursday (7/5/2026). The mutual fund feature on LINE Bank allows customers to start investing with a relatively low amount, namely from Rp 100,000. In addition, LINE Bank also provides weekly or monthly auto-debit features. This scheme enables customers to invest routinely without having to make manual transactions every time. Amid global economic uncertainties, Stefen noted that the public tends to choose relatively safer investment instruments. Mutual funds are one option because they are managed by professional investment managers and offer asset diversification. Overall, there are 39 mutual fund products managed by seven investment managers partnering with LINE Bank. Customers can choose products according to their risk profiles and financial goals. In addition to choosing independently, customers can also utilise the Robo Advisor feature which helps provide investment product recommendations according to their needs. This feature complements the digital experience by providing technology-based guidance. The presence of this investment feature also allows customers to monitor their portfolios directly through the application, making visibility into investment developments more easily accessible.
