PT Mutuagung Lestari Tbk (MUTU) has announced a corporate action in the form of a capital increase without pre-emptive rights, or private placement, valued at Rp29.99 billion, as part of the company’s efforts to accelerate its business. Through the private placement, the company issued 309,278,300 new shares with an exercise price set at Rp97 per share, bringing the total fresh funds raised to Rp29.99 billion.

MUTU Finance Director Sumarna expressed appreciation for the trust placed by strategic investors in the company’s fundamentals and business prospects. “The joining of prominent names and experienced entities into our capital structure provides new fuel for the company to accelerate more quickly. Their presence confirms that our long-term business vision is on the right track,” Sumarna said.

Among the investors participating in the private placement, PT Samala Serasi Utama took the largest portion by absorbing 103,092,700 shares; the entity represents a partnership between Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno and Roestandi Tsamanov. PT Bumi Hijau Sedaya absorbed 41,237,100 shares, while Interra Resources Limited, an energy and resources company listed on the Singapore Exchange, invested in MUTU through its Indonesian subsidiary. Other participants include Andreas Tjahjadi and Leonard Tanubrata, who have long been involved in MUTU’s journey through various investment schemes, as well as climate-tech entrepreneur and former President of Grab Indonesia Ridzki Kramadibrata, whose participation reflects confidence in MUTU’s role.

“Management confirms that all of these investors have no affiliation, either in management or share ownership, with the controlling shareholders, major shareholders, or members of the company’s Board of Directors and Board of Commissioners,” Sumarna stated.

Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno views MUTU as an institution with a strategic role in building a sustainable economic ecosystem in Indonesia. “Through its certification, testing, and verification services, MUTU is an important enabler for the implementation of sustainability standards across various industrial sectors,” Sandiaga said. He added that this investment is not merely a business decision, but also support for accelerating the national green economic transformation, which increasingly requires governance, transparency, and compliance with global standards. “We believe MUTU has great potential to become a key player in supporting Indonesia’s sustainability agenda going forward,” Sandiaga said.
