Musyrif Diny Clerics to Ensure 2026 Hajj Rituals Comply with Sharia

Minister of Hajj and Umrah Mochamad Irfan Yusuf, known as Gus Irfan, welcomed the arrival of Islamic scholars who are members of the Musyrif Diny team for the 1447 Hijri/2026 AD Hajj season at Soekarno-Hatta Airport in Tangerang on Tuesday. These clerics and scholars have been assigned to ensure that all religious observances by Indonesian pilgrims are conducted in accordance with Sharia law.

Gus Irfan stated that the scholars within Musyrif Diny hold a vital role in overseeing the Hajj rituals to guarantee they comply with religious regulations. “Alhamdulillah, this afternoon my team from the Ministry of Hajj and I welcomed the arrival of part of the Musyrif Diny, namely the clerics and scholars we invited to join us in order to ensure all rituals and activities of our Hajj pilgrims truly conform to the rules stipulated in the religion,” said Gus Irfan.

He emphasised that the presence of Musyrif Diny is necessary to ensure all activities and rituals performed by Indonesian Hajj pilgrims genuinely comply with the provisions of Islamic Sharia. “We invited them to join the Musyrif Diny to ensure all our Hajj activities and rituals indeed follow what has been stipulated as religious provisions,” he added.
