Mustika Ratu hits Manila

MANILA (JP): Indonesian cosmetics-maker Mustika Ratu plans to
set up a plant in the Philippines as part of its ASEAN expansion
program.

Company president Bra Mooryati Soedibyo said early this week
the firm had appointed Sterling Trans Trade Corp, a local
company, as the exclusive distributor of Mustika products in the
Philippines.

"We can compete against Western cosmetics products and we have
proven it for so many years," the Indonesian executive said.

Mustika Ratu exports to Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, the Middle
East and the Netherlands.
