The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) has stated that the Rp10,000 integrated public transport fare policy in DKI Jakarta is still in effect, aimed at facilitating public mobility with cheaper and more efficient travel costs. Secretary of the Directorate General of Transport and Multimodal Integration at Kemenhub, Dedy Cahyadi, said the Rp10,000 fare integration policy implemented by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government remains applicable for public transport services managed by regional-owned enterprises. “It has been running, and until now it is still being implemented,” he said, quoted on Sunday, 28 June 2026. The scheme integrates Mikrotrans, Transjakarta, MRT Jakarta, and LRT Jakarta services so that the public can switch between modes in a single journey for a maximum fare of Rp10,000. The integrated fare is valid for three hours during the morning peak period, allowing people commuting to work to utilise various public transport modes more practically and economically. “This means that if someone wants to depart and work in the DKI Jakarta area within a three-hour period, they can use various modes. Whether using MRT Jakarta, LRT Jakarta, Transjakarta, or feeders including Mikrotrans, it is calculated at only Rp10,000,” he said. Through this policy, passengers can transfer from one mode to another without having to pay the full fare each time they change services, as long as the time limit is still valid. “This is cheaper and more efficient compared to using a single mode partially with other modes. Try comparing the LRT Jakarta from Bogor to Bekasi, to Jakarta alone is already Rp20,000, right? But with the integration mode within a certain time period, it is cheaper,” he said. “And it is hoped that later the public can use public transport from their residential areas to their workplaces in the DKI Jakarta area,” he added. According to him, the fare integration scheme can provide travel cost savings compared to using each mode separately, thus increasingly attracting public interest in using public transport. Payment is made using electronic money cards that are connected to the JakLingko system, so that intermodal transfers can be recognised automatically through the tap-in and tap-out mechanism.
