Muslim Utilises Bogor Immigration's 'Medisa': Passport Ready in 15 Minutes
A passport applicant at the Bogor Class I Non-TPI Immigration Office in West Java, named Muslim, shared his experience of applying for his first passport. He utilised the ‘Medisa’ programme, which stands for ‘Melayani di Hari Sabtu’ (Serving on Saturdays).
The 31-year-old man stated that he arrived at the Bogor Immigration Office at 09:00 WIB, and the entire passport creation process was completed in less than 15 minutes. “I was scheduled for 09:00 WIB, but the process took less than 15 minutes, and it was already finished,” Muslim told reporters at the location on Saturday (4/7/2026).
He mentioned that the passport would be used as a requirement for his upcoming overseas holiday. “Coincidentally, I plan to use it for a holiday,” said Muslim.
Meanwhile, another applicant, Annisa (27), expressed hope that the Bogor Immigration Office would increase the quota for applicants and extend the service hours during the Medisa programme. She noted that increasing these would prevent applicants from having to compete intensely for slots. “Ideally, the hours should be extended so more people can be accommodated. The quota should also be increased so we don’t have to ‘war’ for slots,” Annisa said.
Echoing Muslim’s sentiment, Annisa stated that this service is extremely convenient for office workers like herself, as processing passports during weekdays often presents time constraints and the need to request leave from employers. “For workers like me, it is truly helpful so we don’t have to take leave. Furthermore, the online registration is easy, the staff are friendly, the service is good, and the facility is nice, making the wait comfortable,” Annisa added.
The Bogor Class I Non-TPI Immigration Office provides passport services on weekends, both Saturdays and Sundays. The reason for this is to provide opportunities for citizens who cannot manage immigration documents from Monday to Friday due to work routines.
The Saturday service, named ‘Medisa’, is located at the Bogor Class I Non-TPI Immigration Office. Meanwhile, the Sunday service, following directives from the Directorate General of Immigration of the Ministry of Immigration and Correctional Services, is held at the Bogor City Sports Hall (GOR) during Car Free Day (CFD) hours.
It was noted that Bogor Immigration has been providing Saturday services for six months. The passport applicant quota for Saturdays is currently 50 people, though the quota can be increased according to public demand.
