Museum in China Exhibits Creative Products Inspired by Underwater Artefacts
The South China Sea Museum in Hainan has launched a range of cultural and creative economy products, all inspired by valuable underwater archaeological discoveries exhibited as part of a special exhibition themed around the Maritime Silk Road. The exhibition showcases rare relics recovered from shipwreck sites on the northwestern continental slope of the South China Sea, as well as artefacts raised from the iconic wreck at Huaguang Reef in the Xisha Islands. Each creative product on display incorporates design elements drawn from these centuries-old underwater treasures, transforming deep-sea heritage that had long been hidden into portable and functional items that integrate seamlessly into daily life.
