The Indonesian Advocates Association (Peradi Profesional) has received an award from the Indonesian World Records Museum (MURI). The award, bearing Indonesian Record Certificate Number 12803/R.MURI/VII/2026, was given for the achievement of being the advocate organisation with the most signed cooperation agreements with 108 religious higher education institutions for advocate education.

General Chair of Peradi Profesional, Prof. Harris Arthur Hedar, expressed deep appreciation and gratitude to all parties, particularly the Ministry of Religious Affairs and various partner universities, for the support that resulted in this record. To date, Peradi Profesional has established partnerships with a total of 138 public and private universities.

"We extend our utmost gratitude to the Minister of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia along with the Director General of Islamic Education, and also the University of Indonesia. It is thanks to this cooperation that Peradi Profesional can receive the MURI award as the first advocate organisation to sign cooperation agreements with the largest number of public and private universities in Indonesia," said Harris in Jakarta on Friday (10/7).

Furthermore, Prof. Harris stated that this award serves as a motivational spur for the organisation to continue improving the quality of advocates in the country by strengthening synergy with the higher education sector.

Meanwhile, Secretary General of the National Leadership Council (DPN) of Peradi Profesional, Yuhelson, affirmed that cross-sector cooperation has been the organisation’s main agenda since its inception. This synergy is considered a crucial foundation for strengthening law enforcement in Indonesia.

"That synergy is the milestone for the upholding of justice. In less than six months, Peradi Profesional has been able to establish cooperation with more than 111 universities. This is a historical record," said Yuhelson.

According to him, Peradi Profesional was established with the spirit of rebuilding the honour of the advocate profession by strengthening the quality of education for prospective advocates.

"What the Chair conveyed earlier is clear, that Peradi Profesional is different from other organisations. We want to restore the dignity of the advocate profession. That is why we are collaborating with academics and the government. These three pillars will become the historical milestone for upholding justice," he asserted.

The cooperation is realised through the joint implementation of advocate professional education with various universities across Indonesia. To date, Peradi Profesional has established partnerships with 138 universities. Of that number, 108 are religious higher education institutions under the auspices of the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

Yuhelson assessed that the award is a recognition of the organisation’s efforts to strengthen the quality of legal professional education in Indonesia.

"MURI took notice of what Peradi Profesional has accomplished. This becomes a historical record and a stimulus for the nation’s children to continue being creative and improving achievements in the future," he concluded.
