Murderers arrested
JAKARTA (JP): Two men believed to have murdered a servant before robbing a lawyer's house in Cileduk, Tangerang, of electronics have been arrested.
Police sources said yesterday that Jayadi and Raya were picked up at their hideout in Cirebon, West Java, on Wednesday.
The suspects admitted to killing the servant Jenjen and stealing a tape deck and laser disc player from the house.
Police also arrested a man, identified as Buyung, who bought the loot from the suspects.
Earlier, local residents said that Jejen was left alone in the house when his colleague, Didi, went to pay the electricity bill.
A cigarette seller, Syaeful, said he saw a taxi carrying two men stop in front of the house. The two men then entered the house, Syaeful said.
Police have yet to determine if the two men Syaeful saw are actually the two suspects they have detained.
Police presume the motive for the killing was robbery. (sur)
