Murder Trial of State-Owned Bank Branch Head Continues Today, Military Prosecutor Examines 7 Civilian Witnesses

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Military Court II-08 Jakarta is once again holding the trial in the case of the murder of the branch head (Kacab) of a state-owned bank, Mohammad Ilham Pradipta, with the agenda of examining witnesses today, Monday (27/4/2026). The three defendants in the case are Serka Muhammad Nasir, Kopda Feri Heriyanto, and Serka Frengky Yaru. “Today’s trial agenda is the examination of witnesses, scheduled for 10:00 WIB,” said the Spokesperson for the Military Court II-08 Jakarta, Major Chk Endah Wulandari, when confirmed on Monday. Meanwhile, the Military Prosecutor from II-07 Jakarta confirmed that seven witnesses will be presented at the trial. In this case, the military prosecutor plans to examine a total of 17 witnesses in stages. “We are calling 7 witnesses, civilian perpetrators today,” said Military Prosecutor Major Chk Wasinton Marpaung when confirmed on Monday. Marpaung explained that through the witnesses’ statements, the prosecutor wants to uncover the sequence of events from the initial planning to the execution of the criminal act. “We want to dig into everything from the initial planning and how far the roles and actions of the defendants went,” he clarified. Previously, the Military Prosecutor’s Office (Otmil) II-07 Jakarta charged Serka Mochamad Nasir, Kopda Feri Herianto, and Serka Franky Yari with premeditated murder related to the death of the state-owned bank branch head, Mohammad Ilham Pradipta, at the Military Court II-08 Jakarta. In addition to the main charge of premeditated murder, the military prosecutor also submitted a subsidiary charge of ordinary murder. This charge is prepared in case the main charge is not proven in the trial. “Article 338 of the Criminal Code jo Article 55 paragraph 1 first of the Criminal Code jo Article 458 paragraph 1 of Law Number 1 of 2023 on the Criminal Code jo Article 20 letter d,” stated the Military Prosecutor. Not only that, the prosecutor also submitted an alternative charge of deprivation of liberty resulting in the victim’s death. “Article 333 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code jo Article 55 paragraph 1 first of the Criminal Code jo Article 451 jo Article 20 letter d of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 1 of 2023 on the Criminal Code,” he revealed. Specifically for the defendant Nasir, the military prosecutor also added a charge related to concealing the death.
