The series of events for the 18th National Conference (Munas) of Hipmi 2026 on 10-11 June 2026 in Bandar Lampung, Lampung, ran successfully and received broad attention from various national stakeholders. Carrying the theme ‘Synergy of Young Entrepreneurs to Build National Economic Strength,’ Munas XVIII Hipmi was directly attended by President Prabowo Subianto. The General Chairman of BPP Hipmi, Akbar Himawan Buchari, asserted that through this Munas, Hipmi is strengthening its commitment to become a strategic partner for the government, expanding business opportunities, encouraging regional economic growth, and creating jobs. ‘Hipmi must continue to be a bridge between the potential of the younger generation, business opportunities, and national economic development needs,’ Akbar said. ‘We want young entrepreneurs not only to be spectators but to become the main actors in strengthening regional economies, opening job opportunities, and enhancing Indonesia’s competitiveness,’ he said. Akbar also greatly appreciated the presence of President Prabowo Subianto at the opening of Munas XVIII Hipmi. According to him, the President’s presence provided moral and institutional reinforcement for all Hipmi cadres to continue taking a role in national economic development. ‘On behalf of the entire BPP Hipmi family, we express our deepest gratitude and highest appreciation to President Prabowo Subianto for his presence and direction to all Hipmi cadres,’ said Akbar. He also ensured that although his tenure as General Chairman of BPP Hipmi will end, the next leadership will remain on the same path of struggle to support the government’s priority programmes. ‘Even though I will no longer serve as General Chairman of BPP Hipmi, I assure that Hipmi in the future will remain solid and consistent in supporting the government’s priority programmes,’ Akbar stated. ‘Whoever the next General Chairman of Hipmi is, the spirit must be the same: strengthening the role of young entrepreneurs as strategic partners of the government in building the national economy,’ he said. It is noted that over the two-day implementation, Munas XVIII Hipmi presented a number of important agendas, starting from the opening ceremony, the HIPMI Business Forum, business matching, plenary sessions, discussions on the direction of organisational policy, consolidation of BPP and BPD HIPMI throughout Indonesia, to the stages of electing the General Chairman of BPP HIPMI for the 2026–2029 period.
