Muna Island Native Dedicates Persib Title to Mother
Saddil Ramdani dedicated Persib Bandung’s 2025/2026 Super League title to his mother, becoming the first player from Muna Island in Southeast Sulawesi to achieve such success.
“First and foremost, I want to thank my mother,” Saddil said, quoted from Persib’s official website on Wednesday (27 May).
Muna is an island opposite Buton Island, approximately 158 kilometres from Kendari, the capital of Southeast Sulawesi.
Signed by Persib this season, Saddil played a key role in the Maung Bandung securing the Super League title and a third consecutive championship. The 27-year-old featured in 25 league matches, scoring three goals and providing one assist.
He came on in the final moments of the decisive match against Persijap Jepara at Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium on Saturday (23 May) to secure the title-winning point.
In addition to dedicating the title to his mother, Saddil praised the significant role of Persib midfielder Adam Alis, who he said consistently motivated him throughout the season.
“He always reminded me, ‘Hey, you have to win here, we must fight for it here because with the current squad, we can definitely do it,’ like that,” Saddil said.
Adam’s encouragement solidified Saddil’s determination to give his all this season.
This result secured Persib Bandung’s third consecutive Super League title.
