Mulya Jaya Bus Crashes in Sumbawa, Allegedly Hits Roadside Stall and Tree

A Mulya Jaya Company bus (PO Mulya Jaya) experienced a road traffic accident on Sumbawa-Bima thoroughfare, specifically in Desa Brang Kolong, Plampang District, Sumbawa, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). The Mataram-Bima route bus allegedly struck a tree and roadside stall.

Video footage of the PO Mulya Jaya crash circulated on social media. The footage showed the red bus severely damaged at the front, whilst the rear was filled with tree branches and twigs.

The video recording also showed a person wearing a red shirt bearing the Mulya Jaya name with injuries and bleeding on the temple. Several residents in the video were seen lifting a woman from building debris.

Plampang Police Chief, Iptu K Joko Wilopo, could not provide detailed information about the chronology or impact of the Mataram-Bima route bus accident. He only confirmed that the incident occurred on Monday (16 March 2026) afternoon.

“We are conducting scene investigation,” explained Joko.
