Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The listed film production company PT Tripar Multivision Plus Tbk (RAAM) has announced plans for a rights issue of up to 1,362,724,000 new shares to support expansion in the filmmaking sector. This corporate action will be conducted through a capital increase with pre-emptive rights (PMHMETD), representing a maximum of 20% of the fully paid-up and placed capital. However, for shareholders who do not exercise their rights, there is potential dilution of ownership up to a maximum of 16.67%. Management stated that this capital increase aims to strengthen the company’s financial condition and support the performance of the company and its subsidiaries. The entire net proceeds from the PMHMETD, after deducting issuance costs, will be used for working capital and business expansion. This working capital includes financing for film production, web series, soap operas, as well as marketing activities and other supporting investments. In addition, the funds will be allocated for capital participation in the subsidiary, PT Platinum Sinema, which will use them to build and operate 50 new theatres in various cities in Indonesia. “The allocation of the planned use of these funds will be disclosed in the prospectus issued in connection with the PMHMETD, which will be provided to entitled shareholders at the appropriate time,” as quoted in the disclosure to the Indonesia Stock Exchange on Monday (30/3/2026). To realise this plan, the company will seek shareholder approval at an Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPSLB), scheduled for Tuesday, 5 May 2026. Following the announcement, this company owned by Raam Punjabi has risen 1.94% to Rp210 as of 10:15 WIB, with a market capitalisation of Rp1.43 trillion.
