Multiple Motorcycles Without Documents Seized in Central Jakarta Police Operation
The Central Jakarta Metro Police conducted a Cipta Kondisi (Condition Creation) operation and stationary raids across several jurisdictions in Central Jakarta early on Wednesday (24/6/2026). During the operation, a number of motorcycles without proper documentation were seized by officers.
The operation, which took place from 1 a.m. to 4 a.m. Western Indonesia Time, involved 144 joint personnel from the Central Jakarta Metro Police and its precincts. Officers carried out patrols and vehicle checks at several locations, including the areas of Gambir, Tanah Abang, Menteng, Sawah Besar, Kemayoran, Senen, Cempaka Putih, and Johar Baru.
As a result of the operation, police did not find any narcotics, illegal drugs, or firearms and sharp weapons. However, several two-wheeled vehicles that were not equipped with complete documents were impounded for further inspection.
Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Senior Commissioner Reynold EP Hutagalung, stated that the Cipta Kondisi operation is a preventive measure by the police to prevent security disturbances and provide a sense of safety to the public. “We continuously conduct patrols and raids as a form of the National Police’s presence in the community. The goal is to create a safe, orderly, and conducive situation in Central Jakarta,” said Senior Commissioner Reynold.
He noted that synergy between the police and the community is crucial in maintaining environmental security. “We invite the public to jointly maintain public order and security. If you see potential security disturbances or require police assistance, the public can immediately contact the emergency service number 110,” he added.
Senior Commissioner Reynold also urged residents to always comply with traffic regulations, carry complete vehicle documents, and play an active role in reporting incidents that could potentially disrupt security. Throughout the Cipta Kondisi operation, the situation within the jurisdiction of the Central Jakarta Metro Police was observed to be safe and conducive.
