Multi Medika Internasional Targets Rp388 Billion in Sales Amid Aggressive Expansion
PT Multi Medika Internasional Tbk (MMIX) or MMI is optimistic about achieving a sales target of Rp388.3 billion by 2026. This optimism is driven by a carefully executed expansion focusing on market research.
Founder & CEO of PT Multi Medika Internasional Tbk (MMIX), Mengky Mangarek, explained that the expansion involves product diversification, distribution network expansion, and the construction of new production facilities. Specifically, MMI plans to launch new product variants including wet wipes, baby diapers with SAP technology, alkaline drinking water, diapers, and premium bamboo tissues.
“The future strategy is to increase the number of new product SKUs (Stock Keeping Units), expand categories, and frankly, we must maintain the company’s operational efficiency. These three strategies were reserved from last year and we are continuing them this year, and they have been quite successful in boosting our performance, with our profit increasing by 334% compared to last year,” Mengky stated during a Public Expose in Jakarta on Friday (26/6/2026).
Regarding distribution expansion, Mengky explained that MMI currently has more than 17 retail networks across Indonesia. MMI is also supported by over 75 distribution centres and 50,000 stores. Most recently, MMI entered into a strategic partnership with PT SAI Indonesia (Sari Ayu Indonesia) to reach approximately 300,000 new stores. These new outlets are spread across traditional markets, specialist cosmetic stores, and Sari Ayu Indonesia’s platforms. Through this partnership, MMI hopes to achieve sales growth of up to 90%.
Nevertheless, Mengky admitted to setting conservative targets. In this context, MMI is targeting financial performance growth in the range of 25-30% by the end of this year. He further stated that MMI is currently building a new production facility in the Legok area, Tangerang. The factory, covering one hectare, will produce up to 1.8 billion diapers per year with a capacity of up to six production lines, although only one line is being installed initially.
Besides diapers, the factory will also produce sanitary pads and underpads. The presence of this factory has the potential to absorb up to 600 workers and will also significantly increase Indonesia’s foreign exchange earnings. “We will be the only manufacturer of the most advanced diapers in 2026 because they can be produced at a speed of up to 900 diapers per minute. This is unprecedented, as the speed of other diaper factories has only reached 300 diapers per minute. We are three times faster than existing competitors and the only diaper factory with 5-layer technology,” he explained.
For information, MMI recorded net revenue of Rp50.1 billion in the first quarter of 2026, an increase of 2.6% compared to the total net revenue of Rp48.8 billion in the first quarter of 2025. The revenue contribution was supported by mask, tissue, and diaper products. In line with this, MMI’s net profit also increased by 20.6% from Rp1.2 billion in the first quarter of 2025 to Rp1.5 billion in the first quarter of 2026.
