Muller wants to leave J league
TOKYO (AFP): Brazilian 1994 World Cup winner Muller, who plays for Kashiwa Reysol in the Japanese football league, has declared his desire to leave the team for family reasons, a team official said Saturday.
The 29-year-old forward, whose real name is Luiz Antonio Correa Da Costa, quit former Inter-Continental Cup champions Sao Paulo and joined Reysol this season with a two-year contract.
The team official said he would persuade him to stay, but added: "We are not sure at all whether he will stay or not. Our team will decline very much if he leaves."
Muller has displayed a "golden combination" with his 1986-90 World Cup teammate Careca, scoring five points in 11 games so far for Reysol.
