MUI's Response on US Products Being Exempt from Halal Certification

JAKARTA — The Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) has affirmed that the obligation for halal certification on products entering and circulating in Indonesia cannot be negotiated. This assertion was made following the trade agreement between the Indonesian government and the United States.
