MUI: No Sweeping Raids, Respect Those Who Are Fasting
JAKARTA — Vice Chairman of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) KH Cholil Nafis has urged the public not to conduct sweeping raids or unilateral inspections of food stalls that remain open during the month of Ramadan.
“I do not agree with these sweeping raids,” he said, calling on the community to respect those who are fasting without resorting to forceful measures.
