MUI calls for good services

JAKARTA (JP): Chairman of the Indonesian Ulemas' Council Hasan
Basri has called on the government and transportation companies
to provide good services for people making trips for Idul Fitri
holidays.

Good services will enable those who want to go by bus or train
to continue their fasting, as they will not necessarily jostle
for train or bus tickets, he told Antara on Wednesday.

The decision made by the government and transportation owners
to provide more trains and buses is very much appreciated, he
said.

He also called on the government to find alternatives to
prevent people from jostling for train, bus or ship tickets to
their home towns for Idul Fitri celebration, by providing more
departure points. (sur)
