Muhammadiyah Youth Applauds Prabowo's Commitment to Supervise Investigation of Three Alleged Corruption Cases
The Central Board of Pemuda Muhammadiyah has expressed appreciation for President Prabowo Subianto’s commitment to ensuring the law enforcement process regarding three alleged corruption cases proceeds openly, professionally, and free from intervention. This statement was made following the latest developments, including the resignation of the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) Febrie Adriansyah, which has been confirmed by the Attorney General’s Office amid the ongoing legal process.
General Chairman of the Central Board of Pemuda Muhammadiyah Dzulfikar Ahmad Tawalla said the development underscores the importance of commitment from all elements of the state in maintaining the integrity of law enforcement. “We extend our gratitude and appreciation to President Prabowo Subianto for his attention and commitment to overseeing the eradication of corruption. Leadership that provides space for the legal process to proceed objectively sends a strong message that no party should be immune to the law,” Dzulfikar said in a written statement on Saturday, 11 July 2026.
According to him, the President’s attention to cases of public concern has instilled confidence that the law enforcement process can proceed without discrimination. “Today’s developments show that when there is strong political will to uphold the law, state institutions can work in accordance with constitutional corridors. The most important thing now is to ensure the legal process runs to completion, transparently, and accountably,” he said.
Pemuda Muhammadiyah also reminded all law enforcement officers to continue upholding the principle of presumption of innocence and to ensure every process is carried out based on valid evidence in accordance with statutory regulations. “We do not want this case to stop merely at a change of position. The public is waiting for proof before the law. Anyone proven guilty must be held accountable for their actions, while those not proven must have their good name restored,” he said.
Furthermore, Pemuda Muhammadiyah assessed that this momentum should serve as a starting point for stronger reforms in the governance of law enforcement and the eradication of corruption in Indonesia. “Eradicating corruption is not just about punishing perpetrators, but also restoring public trust in state institutions. Therefore, we invite all elements of the nation to oversee this process objectively and not to steer opinions that could disrupt the course of the legal process,” he concluded.
