Muhammadiyah prepares 1,412 Eid al-Adha prayer sites in Yogyakarta

YOGYAKARTA - The Muhammadiyah Regional Leadership (PWM) for the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) has prepared 1,412 Eid al-Adha prayer sites across all regencies and cities in DIY. ‘The prayer will take place on Wednesday, 27 May or 10 Dhu al-Hijjah 1447 AH,’ said PWM DIY Chairman Ikhwan Ahada in Yogyakarta on Tuesday. He stated that the date was determined based on the Muhammadiyah Central Leadership’s announcement regarding the setting of Eid al-Adha 1447 AH for all Muhammadiyah members and adherents. ‘This is an opportunity to enhance social awareness, spirituality, and strengthen unity and brotherhood within the community,’ he said. He explained that preparations were carried out in coordination with Muhammadiyah District Leadership (PDM), Branch Leadership (PCM), and Ranting Leadership (PRM) across all villages in DIY. The Eid al-Adha prayers will be held at 294 sites in Bantul Regency, 382 in Gunungkidul Regency, 244 in Yogyakarta City, 189 in Kulon Progo Regency, and 303 in Sleman Regency. ‘We hope the Eid al-Adha prayers will be conducted with devotion, order, and comfort for all attendees,’ he added.
