Muhammadiyah Announces 11 Locations for Eid Prayer in Bali
The Muhammadiyah Regional Leadership (PWM) in Bali has announced 11 locations for Eid al-Fitr prayers in 2026 across mosques and prayer halls throughout the Bali region. However, PWM Bali is still awaiting government confirmation regarding the official determination of 1 Shawwal 1447 AH (the Islamic calendar date marking Eid).
Muhammad Safaruddin, Head of the Tarjih Council at PWM Bali, explained that several Eid prayer locations have already been coordinated with the Muhammadiyah district leadership (PDM) in each respective regency and city.
“We have already prepared several venues in each regency and the respective PDM offices. We inform all Muslims requesting permission to begin preparations even though the government has not yet officially determined 1 Shawwal 1447 AH,” Safaruddin told detikBali on Monday (16 March 2026).
Meanwhile, the Takbir celebrations this year will coincide with the Hindu Nyepi festival on 19 March 2026. Safaruddin urged Muhammadiyah members in Bali to conduct Takbir celebrations at their respective homes.
“We urge all Muslims to continue respecting and honouring one another,” he added.
