Muhammad Yusuf Ateh Appointed as New Commissioner of Telkomsel
PT Telekom Indonesia (Persero), Tbk. (TLKM) has announced that shareholders have officially appointed Muhammad Yusuf Ateh as a Commissioner of Telkomsel, effective from Monday, 1 June 2026. This decision was made by Telkom Indonesia and Singapore Telecom Mobile Pte. Ltd. (Singtel), the shareholders of PT Telekomunikasi Selular (Telkomsel), on Friday (29/5/2026).
The step is intended to reaffirm Telkomsel’s commitment to strengthening governance and strategic leadership in response to industry dynamics, while maintaining profitability and sustainable growth. There are no changes to the rest of the Board of Commissioners and Directors. The current Board of Commissioners for Telkomsel is as follows:

“This move is in line with the recovery direction of the telecommunications sector post-consolidation, where competition is shifting towards a value-based approach, innovation, and customer experience,” management wrote in an official statement.
Telkomsel also intends to continue accelerating its growth and leadership within the industry by strengthening core connectivity through sustained investment in 5G networks. The company is also committed to expanding convergence services and digital solutions for both consumer and enterprise segments, as well as optimising technology-based and AI capabilities to create a more personalised and efficient customer experience.
“With this strategy, Telkomsel is determined to create a healthy ecosystem, support national digital transformation, and provide added value for customers and stakeholders,” the company stated.
The Career of Muhammad Yusuf Ateh
Prior to his appointment as Commissioner of Telkomsel, Muhammad Yusuf Ateh has served as the Head of the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) since 2020. His previous roles include Commissioner of PT Bank Mandiri Tbk (2021-2026), PLN (2020-2021), and member of the Supervisory Board of Perum Peruri (2013-2019). He also served as an inspector at the Ministry of PAN-RB (2009-2011) and as an auditor at BPKP (1992-2002).
