Muhaimin: Prabowo to Attend PKB's 28th Anniversary Celebration

President Prabowo Subianto is reportedly set to attend the peak celebration of the National Awakening Party’s (PKB) 28th anniversary. PKB Chairman Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar confirmed this when met at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta. The PKB anniversary event is scheduled to take place this evening at the Jakarta Convention Center, Central Jakarta. “God willing, (Prabowo) will come. Yesterday he said he would come,” Muhaimin stated on Thursday afternoon, 23 July 2026. On Wednesday evening, 22 July 2026, PKB inaugurated 19,675 branch executive board members from across Indonesia for the 2026-2031 term. Muhaimin said the simultaneous inauguration of branch executives was part of binding intentions and commitments so that PKB officials always manage the organisation with the primary goal of service. He therefore reminded the tens of thousands of PKB branch executives to always focus on serving the community. “Especially on this 28th anniversary, the legacy of the founders must continue to be instilled,” Muhaimin said on Wednesday. The former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives noted that the tens of thousands of party officials initially underwent a selection process before being chosen and inaugurated by him. “There was an interview selection, a support selection, and only after that were they chosen from all these processes. Therefore, we are confident that those selected are people who will commit to serving,” he said. He added that after being inaugurated, the 19,675 PKB branch executives across Indonesia would receive training and technical guidance on party struggle management. “Thus, when they return to their respective regencies and cities, they will be ready with full awareness of the concept, plan, strategy, ideology and aspirations,” he said.
