Muhaimin: Prabowo to Attend PKB's 28th Anniversary Celebration

President Prabowo Subianto is reported to be attending the peak celebration of the 28th anniversary of the National Awakening Party, known as PKB. PKB Chairman Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar confirmed this when met at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta.

The PKB anniversary celebration is scheduled to take place this evening at the Jakarta Convention Centre in Central Jakarta. “God willing, he will come. Yesterday he said he would attend,” said Muhaimin on Thursday afternoon, 23 July 2026.

On Wednesday evening, 22 July 2026, PKB held the inauguration of 19,675 PKB Branch Executive Board (DPC) members from across Indonesia for the 2026-2031 term of office.

According to Antara, Muhaimin said the simultaneous inauguration of branch officials was part of binding the intention and commitment of PKB’s ranks to always manage the organisation with the foremost aim of service.

For this reason, the Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment reminded the tens of thousands of PKB branch officials to remain focused on serving the public.

“Moreover, on this 28th anniversary, the legacy of the founders must continue to be instilled,” said Muhaimin on Wednesday, quoted from Antara.

The former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives said the tens of thousands of party officials had initially undergone a selection process before being chosen and inaugurated by him. “There were interview selections, support selections, and only after that were the results of the entire process chosen. That is why we are confident that those selected are people who will be committed to serving,” he said.

He went on to say that the 19,675 PKB branch officials from across Indonesia would, after being inaugurated, receive orientation sessions and technical guidance on implementing party management.

“This way, when they return to their respective regencies and cities, they will be ready with full awareness of the concepts, plans, strategies, ideology and ideals,” he said.
