The incidence of pickpocketing and mugging around Jl. Merdeka
in Bogor is now on the increase.

About two weeks ago, my nephew, still in Junior High School,
was mugged in front of Toko Srisura Bogor. The incident has
traumatized him, as three muggers took his bag, jacket, shirt and
wallet.

As far as I know, a similar incident has also befallen many
other residents. We, therefore, call on the Bogor Police to
intensify their patrols, especially in the area between Taman
Topi and Terminal Merdeka near the Bogor police station in the
evening.
