Mudik with Electric Vehicles: Note down EV Charging Station Locations on Trans-Java Toll Road
JAKARTA — Preparations for the 2026 Eid mudik season involve more than just vehicle condition checks and driver fitness. For electric vehicle users, planning the locations of public charging stations becomes essential before embarking on long-distance journeys.
Particularly for travellers traversing the Trans-Java toll road, knowing the locations of public EV charging stations (SPKLU) can help ensure a smooth journey without the worry of battery depletion.
Currently, SPKLU facilities are available at dozens of rest areas along the toll route. The infrastructure provided is varied, ranging from alternating current (AC) charging to rapid direct current (DC) fast charging.
However, travellers are still advised to plan their journeys carefully. The number of charging units at each rest area remains limited.
During the peak mudik and return periods around Eid, vehicle queuing at charging stations is highly likely.
The following is a list of rest areas equipped with SPKLU facilities along the Trans-Java toll road:
Jagorawi toll road
Jakarta–Tangerang toll road
Jakarta–Cikampek toll road
Cipularang toll road
Padaleunyi toll road
