Jakarta — The Chief Executive of BPJS Kesehatan, Prihati Pujowaskito, has announced that mudik travellers will continue to have access to the National Health Insurance (JKN) services in their home regions during the 2026 Lebaran holiday break.

“Various JKN service conveniences can be accessed throughout Indonesia without being limited by the participant’s regional domicile. Additionally, BPJS Kesehatan aid posts will be available at crowded locations,” he said during a press conference on mudik service preparations in Jakarta on Monday.

“These aid posts can provide health consultation services, relaxation facilities for mudik travellers, basic health checks, medicine supplies, ambulance services, and emergency response care,” he explained.

The aid post locations include Merak Port in Banten, Pulo Gebang Terminal in East Jakarta, Cipularang Toll Road 88A Rest Area in Purwakarta, West Java, Cipali Toll Road 166A Rest Area in Majalengka, West Java, Ungaran Toll Road 429A Rest Area in Semarang, Central Java, Masaran Toll Road 519A Rest Area in Sragen, Central Java, Purabaya Terminal in Sidoarjo, East Java, and Soekarno-Hatta Port in Makassar, South Sulawesi.

Pujowaskito explained that mudik travellers or members of the public experiencing fatigue or dizziness will have their vital signs, blood pressure checked and disease history reviewed to receive initial assistance at the BPJS Kesehatan aid posts.

“We will provide easy access to membership services even during this mudik period. So, there is the Call Centre 165 service, then other Pandawa services, as well as Mobile JKN services. All of these are aimed at facilitating easy access to membership services,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Director of BPJS Kesehatan Membership, Akmal Budi Yulianto, stated that three 24-hour services would be provided by BPJS Kesehatan during the 2026 Lebaran holiday break.

“There are three services that are the focus here. First is administrative services — often many BPJS participants are unsure whether their membership is active or inactive, which can be resolved through this service. The second is information services and the third is complaint services,” said Akmal.
