Mudik Traffic Increases, Contraflow on Japek Toll Road Reimplemented

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) has reinstated traffic engineering in the form of contraflow on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road towards Cikampek, specifically from KM 36 to KM 70. This policy is implemented situationally with an open-close scheme, adjusted to on-site traffic conditions based on police discretion, to support the smooth flow of mudik traffic for Idulfitri 1447 H/2026. Previously, contraflow in that segment had been temporarily suspended. However, following the renewed increase in vehicle volume, the traffic engineering was reintroduced at 20.51 WIB. JTT states that it continues to coordinate with the police and relevant agencies in managing traffic to maintain both smoothness and safety for road users. In addition, road users are urged to comply with traffic signs and instructions from officers on the ground. Drivers are also asked to ensure sufficient balance on their electronic money cards before entering the toll road.
