JAKARTA - Based on data from Jasa Marga, the volume of traffic leaving the Jabotabek region from H-10 to H-1 of the Eid al-Fitr 1447 H/2026 holiday period, or 11-20 March 2026, reached 1,810,134 vehicles.

This figure is the cumulative traffic flow from four main toll gates (GT), namely GT Cikampek Utama (towards Trans Java), GT Kalihurip Utama (towards Bandung), GT Cikupa (towards Merak), and GT Ciawi (towards Puncak). The number represents a 25.5% increase compared to normal traffic of 1,442,037 vehicles.

By distribution, the majority of vehicles headed east (Trans Java and Bandung) at 989,628 vehicles or 54.7%. Meanwhile, 465,840 vehicles (25.7%) went west (Merak), and 354,666 vehicles (19.6%) headed south (Puncak).

For the eastbound direction, traffic towards Trans Java via GT Cikampek Utama was recorded at 661,258 vehicles, up 131.9% from normal conditions. Vehicles heading to Bandung via GT Kalihurip Utama reached 328,370 units, an increase of 3.8%.

Meanwhile, westbound traffic via GT Cikupa to Merak was recorded at 465,840 vehicles, down 4.2% from normal.

Vehicles heading south via GT Ciawi to Puncak were recorded at 354,666 vehicles, up slightly by 0.1%.

On H-1 of Eid 2026, or Friday (20/3/2026), the volume of vehicles leaving Jabotabek through the four main toll gates was 117,606 vehicles. This figure is 27% lower than normal traffic of 161,064 vehicles.

“1.8 million vehicles have left the Jabotabek area to celebrate Eid al-Fitr 1447 H. It is estimated that today there will be an increase in public mobility to visit relatives and friends on Jasa Marga Group toll roads,” said Rivan in his official statement.

To anticipate the mobility surge, Jasa Marga is strengthening services on several main toll roads. These efforts include optimising toll booth operations, preparing toll road service fleets, and implementing situational traffic management.

Technology optimisation through the Jasamarga Tollroad Command Center (JMTC) is also being carried out to monitor traffic conditions in real-time and support quick and accurate decision-making. Traffic information is disseminated via the Travoy app and Travoy FM Radio to help road users plan their journeys.

“Ahead of the return flow period, we ask for the cooperation of road users to plan their trips even better by avoiding peak return times predicted to fall on Tuesday, 24 March 2026,” said Rivan.

“Take advantage of the toll discount during the return flow period for two days, namely 26-27 March 2026 (H+5 to H+6) of Eid on 9 Jasa Marga Group toll roads,” he added.
