Mudik Security Performance Receives Positive Response from 94.3% of the Public, Kakorlantas Awarded

Jakarta, VIVA – The Head of the Indonesian National Police Traffic Corps (Kakorlantas) Polri, Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho, received the Presisi Award from the Indonesian Police Strategic Studies Institute (Lemkapi) at the NTMC Polri on Monday, 6 April 2026.

The award was given to the Kakorlantas Polri for his loyalty and performance in improving services, protection, and guidance to the public during the implementation of the 2026 Eid al-Fitr homecoming and return traffic flow.

The Executive Director of Lemkapi, Edi Saputra Hasibuan, stated that the role of Kakorlantas is very important as the spearhead of security for Operation Ketupat 2026.

“I, Saputra Hasibuan, Executive Director of the Indonesian Police Strategic Studies Institute (Lemkapi), convey my appreciation to the Kakorlantas Polri as the spearhead in securing Operation Ketupat 2026 which took place yesterday,” said the Executive Director of the Indonesian Police Strategic Studies Institute (Lemkapi), Edi Saputra Hasibuan.

Edi said that the success of the Polri in securing the homecoming and return traffic received a positive response from the public reaching 94.3%. According to Edi Saputra Hasibuan, this is based on research results conducted by Lemkapi.

“We, on behalf of the public, for the success of the Polri in securing the homecoming and return traffic yesterday. Our research results show that 94.3% indicate the policies implemented by the Korlantas Polri in managing and controlling the homecoming traffic yesterday,” explained Edi.

According to him, various innovations and traffic engineering applied by the Korlantas Polri, including the national one-way system on Java Island, became important factors in the smoothness of this year’s homecoming traffic.

“Thank you for the performance of all Polri ranks throughout Indonesia, which we know have made many breakthroughs, many traffic engineering efforts, including how the Polri implemented one-way on Java Island nationally. I think that is very important in the implementation of homecoming every year,” said Edi.

Nevertheless, Edi hopes that this achievement does not make the Polri complacent, but rather continues to improve the quality of services to the public.

“We hope that what has been done, this achievement, we hope the Polri does not become satisfied, but continues to provide the best service to the public so that public trust in the Polri will be even better,” stated Edi.
