Several passengers on the 2026 Eid al-Fitr mudik flow experienced fraud in purchasing tickets at Lebak Bulus Terminal, South Jakarta. The fraud occurred when passengers bought tickets online.

“There was online fraud for a while, where some people came to me, then we confirmed, and there was a solution. I think the others are still under control,” said the Head of Lebak Bulus Terminal, Joni Budhi, on Wednesday (18/3), citing Antara.

Joni continued that the number of online fraud cases is relatively small and can still be handled. The fraud happened when prospective passengers bought online, but the payment did not go to the bus company (PO).

“It’s really online tickets that should go to this PO but were cut to individuals. Yesterday I resolved it,” said Joni.

Joni revealed that the victim suffered a loss after buying two tickets. The victim then had to buy tickets again because the previous payment was not recorded in the PO.

The passengers who were scammed were directed to buy tickets directly at the official bus counters at Lebak Bulus Terminal. They received discounted prices.

“Actually, the ticket price is stable at Rp400,000 to Rp450,000. He bought two tickets, but not directly to the company,” said Joni.

Joni reminded mudik travellers to immediately report to officers if they find scalping practices or encounter problems when buying tickets.

Regarding the 2026 Eid al-Fitr mudik flow, the Lebak Bulus Terminal management predicts the peak flow at the terminal will occur on Tuesday (17/3) to Wednesday (18/3). This is due to an increase in the number of departing passengers.

From H-8 to H-5 before Eid 2026, there were 903 passengers recorded departing from Lebak Bulus Terminal.

This number is the accumulation of passengers departing over the last four days leading up to Eid al-Fitr.

Here is the breakdown of passenger numbers from H-8 to H-5 before Eid:

  • H-8 Eid, 13 March: 25 buses arrived and departed, with 246 passengers.

  • H-7 Eid, 14 March: The number of operating buses increased to 29 units with 251 departing passengers.

  • H-6 Eid, 15 March: 21 buses arrived and departed with 166 passengers.

  • H-5 Eid, 16 March: There were 29 buses that arrived and departed with 240 passengers.

Joni said that they estimate the number of passengers will continue to increase approaching the peak mudik flow for Eid.

Lebak Bulus Terminal will also continue to monitor and ensure the smooth departure of passengers during the 2026 Eid Mudik period.
