Muaro Jambi's Public Service and Ease of Doing Business Performance Soars, Ranking 78th Nationally
The Muaro Jambi Regency Government has once again achieved national recognition. Based on the Decree of the Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Number 204 of 2026, Muaro Jambi Regency has secured 78th place nationally in the assessment of public service performance and ease of doing business. This achievement also positions Muaro Jambi as the regency with the best performance in Jambi Province.
In the decision signed by the Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of BKPM, Rosan Perkasa Roeslant, on 30 July 2026, Muaro Jambi Regency achieved the ‘Very Good’ category with a score of 90.198. This value represents an increase of 6.020 points compared to the 2024 assessment result of 84.178.
Muaro Jambi’s success also outperformed several other regencies in Jambi Province, including Tanjung Jabung Timur at 95th place with a score of 89.408, Batanghari at 146th place with 84.056, Merangin at 152nd place with 83.461, and Tanjung Jabung Barat at 154th place with 83.305.
The Head of the Muaro Jambi Regency Department of Investment and Integrated One-Stop Services (DPMPTSP), Alias, confirmed the achievement following the completion of the national assessment for the 2026 Integrated One-Stop Service (PTSP) Performance and Business Implementation Acceleration (PPB) Performance of Local Governments.
“Alhamdulillah, all final stages of the 2026 PTSP and PPB performance assessments have been completed. Based on the Decree of the Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of BKPM Number 204 of 2026, Muaro Jambi Regency is ranked 78th nationally and is the best in Jambi Province with a ‘Very Good’ category and a score of 90.198,” said Alias.
According to Alias, this achievement is a manifestation of the Muaro Jambi Regency Government’s commitment to providing licensing services that are fast, transparent, friendly, and accountable for both the community and business actors. He added that the results have been officially reported to the Regent, Vice Regent, and Regional Secretary, noting that the success is due to leadership guidance and the hard work of the DPMPTSP staff. Moving forward, the department is committed to continuously improving service quality and introducing innovations to further enhance the investment climate and ease of doing business in the regency.
The assessment of PTSP and PPB performance for local governments is a routine agenda of the central government, referring to Presidential Regulation Number 42 of 2020 and the Minister of Investment/Head of BKPM Regulation Number 2 of 2022. The evaluation covers the effectiveness of risk-based business licensing through the Online Single Submission (OSS) system, institutional capacity, infrastructure, regional innovation, and the acceleration of investment commitment fulfilment. The results of this assessment serve as a basis for data submitted to the Ministry of Finance as part of the database for providing regional incentives.
