MTDL Steps Up Acceleration of Agentic AI Adoption in Indonesia – BCA Sekuritas
IQPlus, (7/9) – PT Metrodata Electronics Tbk (MTDL), a leading provider of consultancy and integrated solutions as well as information and communication technology (ICT) product distribution in Indonesia, is stepping up the acceleration of Agentic AI adoption in the country to strengthen the company’s AI business. Agentic AI is an autonomous artificial intelligence system capable of planning, making decisions and executing tasks independently to achieve specific objectives without continuously awaiting human instruction.
The acceleration of Agentic AI adoption is intended to further consolidate the strong growth the company’s AI business has recorded so far. With its current position of more than 100 use cases, some of which have already adopted Agentic AI, MTDL has posted impressive growth in this business, with Data & AI growing 52% year-on-year and Hybrid AI (Hybrid IT & Infrastructure) growing 171% year-on-year in the first half of 2026.
“Although this is still something new, and the contribution of both to the total revenue of the Digital Solutions and Consultancy unit has yet to reach 10%, we see their growth as more aggressive compared to several other business lines. Therefore, as more use cases enter the production stage and the business impact becomes clearer, we believe the AI business has the potential to become one of Metrodata’s growth engines over the next three to five years,” said MTDL President Director Susanto Djaja.
MTDL currently has two Agentic AI models: Knowgen.AI and Megarock. Knowgen.AI is an AI used to improve work efficiency within a particular unit, targeting small and medium-sized enterprises. Megarock, meanwhile, is an AI designed for broader and more specific business needs. Megarock has five flagship solutions: Megabots.AI (chatbot), Megadocs (intelligent document processing), Megaque (AI code assistant and document summarisation tool), Megacast (demand forecasting), and Megafactory (automated quality inspection and predictive maintenance).
Furthermore, the drive to accelerate Agentic AI adoption is also being carried out through continuous outreach and discussions at the annual Metrodata Solution Day (MSD) technology event and workshop hosted by the company. At MSD 2026, MTDL emphasised the selection of a flexible AI model tailored to each company’s business needs. With Metrodata’s eight solution pillars, businesses can choose the AI model that suits them, whether closed or open, or begin by trialling data storage.
