MTDL Accelerates Agentic AI Adoption as AI Business Grows by 171%
PT Metrodata Electronics Tbk (MTDL) is accelerating the adoption of Agentic AI in Indonesia to strengthen the growth of the company’s artificial intelligence (AI) business.
Agentic AI refers to autonomous artificial intelligence systems capable of planning, making decisions, and executing tasks independently to achieve specific targets without requiring constant human instruction.
This acceleration coincides with the growth of MTDL’s AI business. The company recorded a 52% year-on-year (YoY) growth in its Data & AI business, while Hybrid AI (Hybrid IT & Infrastructure) grew by 171% in the first half of 2026.
MTDL President Director Susanto Djaja stated that the contribution of these two business lines to the total revenue of the Digital Solutions and Consulting unit remains below 10%. However, their growth is considered more aggressive compared to several other business lines.
“Even though it is still a new development and their contribution to the total revenue of the Digital Solutions and Consulting unit has not yet reached 10%, we see that the growth is more aggressive than several other business lines. Therefore, as more use cases enter the production stage and the resulting business impact becomes clearer, we see that the AI business has the potential to become one of Metrodata’s growth engines in the next 3–5 years,” said Susanto.
Currently, MTDL possesses over 100 use cases, some of which have entered the Agentic AI adoption stage.
The company also possesses two Agentic AI models, namely Knowgen.AI and Megarock. Knowgen.AI is designed to assist work efficiency in specific units, targeting small and medium-sized enterprises.
Meanwhile, Megarock targets more specific and broader business needs. This solution features five flagship products: Megabots.AI for chatbots, Megadocs for Intelligent Document Processing, Megaque as an AI Code Assistant & Document Summarization Tool, Megacast for Demand Forecasting, and Megafactory for Automated Quality Inspection & Predictive Maintenance.
The acceleration of Agentic AI adoption is also being pursued through socialisation and discussions at the annual Metrodata Solution Day (MSD) event organised by MTDL.
At MSD 2026, MTDL emphasised flexibility in selecting AI models according to business needs. Through its eight solution pillars, businesses can choose appropriate AI models, whether closed or open, or begin with data storage requirements.
