MSP Secures PROPER Gold and Green Leadership PROPER Awards from KLHK

Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Mitra Stania Prima (MSP), a company under Arsari Tambang, has successfully received two prestigious awards from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, namely PROPER Gold and Green Leadership PROPER. “The most tangible impact felt by the community is the increasingly clean air quality. This is part of our commitment towards net zero, namely not producing air or water pollution. Alhamdulillah, this has started to be felt by the surrounding community and we will continue to improve it in the future,” said the President Director of Arsari Tambang, Aryo Djojohadikusumo, on the sidelines of the PROPER Environment Awards ceremony in Jakarta on Tuesday. According to him, the PROPER Gold award achieved serves as proof of the company’s commitment to maintaining environmental quality, especially for communities around the operational areas. He stated that MSP is preparing strategic steps to enhance environmental performance, one of which is through the full use of renewable energy in smelter facilities. “Insya Allah, next year we target 100 percent renewable energy usage in the smelter. This is part of our sustainable efforts to improve environmental quality,” he said. “Currently, our mining unit has achieved PROPER Green. In the future, we will push for an upgrade to PROPER Gold with the use of zero-emission heavy equipment and electrification across the entire production process,” he added. According to him, the key to maintaining and improving these achievements is integrity. “We do all this not merely to chase awards, but as a commitment to not pollute the environment. Integrity is non-negotiable now and forever,” he said. The PROPER Gold for MSP was received by MSP Commissioner Harwendro Adityo Dewanto, and the Green Leadership PROPER was presented to Arsari Tambang President Director Aryo Djojohadikusumo directly by the Minister of Environment Hanif Faisol Nurofiq.
