MSME Ministry Readies Rp300 Trillion for Micro-Business Financing

Yogyakarta (ANTARA) - Deputy Minister of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Helvi Yuni Moraza announced that the government has prepared a budget of Rp300 trillion to facilitate financing for micro-business operators. Speaking after the launch of the Kumitra (Ease of Business through Partnership) programme at Teras Malioboro, Yogyakarta, on Friday evening, she said President Prabowo is paying great attention to providing ease for MSMEs, particularly through easier access to capital. “Because this is designed by the government, specifically for financing, we have prepared approximately Rp300 trillion to facilitate MSME financing through the Kredit Usaha Rakyat (KUR) scheme,” she stated. She noted that of the Rp300 trillion allocation, Rp167 trillion had already been realised by mid-2026 for MSMEs across Indonesia. “As of July, Rp167 trillion has been absorbed, meaning it has reached nearly 60 percent. This is why we continue to hold activities like this, assisted by the Association of State-Owned Banks (Himbara), private national banks, and online business activists,” she said. She added that MSME financing channelled through government partner banks will be continuously monitored to ensure the programme genuinely benefits MSMEs. “To make things easier, we facilitate licensing arrangements free of charge. President Prabowo’s attention to MSMEs is substantial, including opening up market access,” she said. Regarding the Kumitra programme, the Deputy Minister said it is an effort to foster and grow MSMEs, upgrade them, and support the sustainability of MSME entrepreneurs in Yogyakarta. “One of these programmes is Kumitra. In line with our mandate, the MSME Ministry must safeguard MSME growth by creating new entrepreneurs and facilitating them according to the scale of their businesses,” she said.
