PT MSIG Life Insurance Indonesia Tbk (MSIG Life) recorded a net profit of Rp 181 billion in the first half of 2026, representing a significant increase of 69 per cent year-on-year (yoy).
Herman Sulistyo, Director & Chief Strategic Distribution, Government & Partnership Officer at MSIG Life, added that the Contractual Service Margin (CSM) also grew by 8 per cent (yoy) to reach Rp 913 billion. “This reflects the future profits from ongoing insurance contracts, which are recognised gradually throughout the coverage period,” Herman stated in a release on Friday, 11 September 2026.
He also reported that renewal premiums reached Rp 1 trillion, a 27 per cent (yoy) growth, while Annualised Premium Equivalent (APE) was recorded at Rp 691 billion. Herman confirmed that the first-half 2026 performance demonstrates that MSIG Life is on the right track to driving high-quality business growth.
“This achievement is the result of disciplined cost management, strengthened operational productivity, and increased customer satisfaction,” said Herman. He added that performance was also supported by strong capitalisation, with MSIG Life’s equity reaching Rp 8.2 trillion. This far exceeds the highest minimum requirement for insurance companies under Financial Services Authority (OJK) Regulation Number 23 of 2023, which is set at Rp 1 trillion to be met by 31 December 2028.
Meanwhile, Elly Susanti, Director & Chief Operating & IT Officer of MSIG Life, stated that the company will continue to focus on expansion and the optimisation of multi-channel distribution, investment in digital technology and AI, and product innovation to meet increasingly diverse customer needs. “These steps further strengthen our position as a trusted partner for the Indonesian people, while creating long-term value for customers, shareholders, and business partners,” she said.
MSIG Life also announced that PT MSIG Sharia Life Insurance Indonesia obtained a business licence from the Financial Services Authority on 22 July 2026 and has officially operated as a separate entity since 3 August 2026.
