MSIG Life Pays Out IDR 1.07 Trillion in Claims Throughout 2025
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - PT MSIG Life Insurance Indonesia Tbk (MSIG Life) paid out IDR 1.07 trillion in health and death benefit claims throughout 2025.
This figure includes the costs of treatment for customers facing health risks and benefits for families who have lost loved ones.
Director and Chief Transformation Officer of MSIG Life, Ken Terada, stated that the payment of claims is a real manifestation of the company’s protection commitment.
“Maintaining the financial resilience of families can only be done consistently if supported by a healthy and strong financial condition of the company. That is what we continue to maintain so that protection can be realized sustainably,” he said in an official statement on Thursday (February 26, 2026).
As part of the MS&AD Insurance Group of Japan, MSIG Life applies global risk management standards that maintain good governance and ensure the company’s ability to meet its obligations in the long term.
“Every claim we pay represents a family that is facing an important phase in their lives, whether undergoing health treatment or when losing a breadwinner,” he added.
Ken explained that their task is to ensure that protection is truly present, so that families remain financially resilient and can move forward with more confidence.
“That is the role that we continue to play as a trusted partner for Indonesian families,” Ken concluded.
This figure far exceeds the general national inflation projection, which is in the range of 1.5–3.5 percent in 2025–2026, according to Bank Indonesia’s targets.
This sharp difference increases pressure on household spending and emphasizes the importance of insurance protection as part of family financial planning.
