Global index provider MSCI has officially announced the results of its 2026 Market Classification Review in the early hours of Wednesday, 24 June 2026. In the annual report, Indonesia’s equity market has been confirmed to remain in the emerging markets category. Meanwhile, Indonesia is currently seeking a robust solution to address the challenge of reliable electricity supply across its vast archipelago. Amidst these efforts, American nuclear energy expert Kelle Barfield has assessed that Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) could be one of the answers.
